Masai Mara

My Masai Mara safari lasted 8 days at the Entim Camp in luxury tents at the heart of the Masai Mara. The site was excellent, all the staff were more than helpful. Henry and Edward our drivers  were great, they done everything possible to get you in the right place to see the wildlife, from Kingfishers to Elephants, even on the first day I saw Leopard. Each day we had two drives one early in the morning setting off at 0600 and the second at 1600.

After the first two days the weather changed and down came the rain. It was the start of the rainy season in the Masai Mara. Unfortunately that stopped us crossing the river so no more Leopards but there was still plenty to photograph.

The lions were great to capture in the rain, and early one morning we found a lioness moving her cubs to safety from a small stream which was rising to where her cubs were. One by one she walked pass us holding them delicately in her mouth. It was a special moment which I will not forget. I did hope to get some sunrise and sunsets but they didn’t appear very much.

It was a very special experience and as i’ve said I need to return.
